Pretty sure I'm out

Temp took a nose dive today to 97.74. I'm bummed. No AF yet, but I'm pretty sure she's on her way. Temps don't usually take a dive like that if you are pg.

What is it I should say to my doc on my August 1 appointment? I need some sort of help here. I don't think she'll agree to anything aggressive (not sure I really need that), but would possibly be open to a little nudge in the right direction. For those of you who used progesterone cream, how does that work? How did you convince the doc to let you use that? I'll be ovulating when I see her. I'm an idiot when it comes to these things...please help!

I was checking on you this morning to see if it was good news. :( Sorry. Your luteal phase looks like mine did...you're only having very borderline luteal phases. My doctor wouldn't do anything, but did say I could see an RE. It was the RE who gave me the progesterone. He gave me the pill form but you use them vaginally two times a day. They are kind of nasty, but didn't have any side effects. I have no idea if I needed them, but I got pregnant the first month of taking them. Maybe you can finagle your doc into letting you see an RE. Good luck. I'm sorry it looks like this isn't the month.

I am SO sorry, Holly!
I take oral Prometrium and it helps a lot! No mess "down there" either! I would certainly print out your charts and show your doc. I took mine to my doc and she determined I had LPD. She put me on Clomid to help regulate my O and lengthen my LP. I was kinda worried about taking it, but figured that I took pills to PREVENT conception once upon a time, so what's wrong with taking pills to ENCOURAGE conception? Just my thoughts...I hope the doc can figure something out to help speed things up! (((hugs)))

I'm with Vix. Bring your charts and tell her you want the referral. The RE is unlikely to not at least do something to help.

I'm so sorry it's a bummer month. They really suck.

Hugs,
M

Oh Holly. I'm so sorry, hun. I agree with the other girls - take your charts and maybe you can seen an RE. I'm hoping it's great news for you after you see her. Hugs!

Damn it Holly, I was really hoping for you!!! This sucks. I wish I had some advise on what to ask the dr's but I have nothing. Just wanted to tell you I am sorry.

You have a really good case for progesterone supps. Not only is you LP borderline, but you are spotting before AF which is a sign of LPD also. If your endometrium is starting to break down so many days before AF your best hope is a super early implantation.

As an arguement for an anti-prog doc, you could simply point out that even if it doesn't help, it won't hurt and given your anxiety over the situation how could taking something that is at worst benign, at best the answer to the problem, be bad? It's your buck and if you want to spend it on progesterone, who is the doctor to stop you? Unless she has a better plan....
